Core Components is a leading manufacturer of beer dispensing equipment who design and manufacture equipment for the brewing industry to improve quality and reduce waste. They manufacture a wide range of equipment and for them it is crucial that they know they have the parts in stock to fulfil orders as they come in. So they approached the Agile Techie to find the perfect solution to track the parts they need to build their orders while minimising the quantities held in stock to reduce costs.
We used linkalist - our web application builder - to build a no-code solution for Core Components. This uses a simple three-step process to allow the system to keep track of inventory. 
  1. A member of the engineering team enters a complete list of all the parts that go into each product
  2. The sales manager enters the details of each order as it comes in
  3. The purchasing manager enters the details of each purchase order as he re-orders components.
Using this data, the system keeps track of every part on site and alerts their purchasing department when an order comes in that would reduce any part's stock to a critical level. The result of this is that they sales manager has complete confidence in quoting a delivery time since he knows the lead time required to get parts on site while the purchasing manager can reduce the costs of keeping unnecessary parts in stock.
